What Your Heel Wear Pattern Says

Reading uneven wear to catch fit and gait problems early.

Set both shoes on a flat table and look at the heel from behind. Even wear across the block is normal. Heavy outer-edge wear suggests supination; inner-edge wear suggests overpronation.

Wear concentrated on one shoe only can indicate a leg-length difference, which an external lift can correct comfortably.

Catching a pattern early matters because once the heel block wears past level, the shoe reinforces the fault. Replace the lift as soon as the wear passes halfway through.

When to bring it to us instead

Home care handles maintenance. Structural problems — worn welts, split seams, collapsed heel counters, set-in stains — need a bench, tools and matched materials. If you are unsure which side of that line your pair falls on, send a photo or bring it by and we will tell you straight.
